If you’re reading this, chances are you have some curiosity about meditation. Maybe you’re already dabbling in it but want to learn “for real,” or maybe a friend suggested that you check it out. Or, perhaps you stumbled upon this page completely by accident while Googling how to be a rockstar human. Whatever the case, welcome. I’m glad you’re here and I’d love to share with you a bit more about Ziva Meditation and what we do.

Ziva is a school for high performance: we teach people how to perform at the top of their personal and professional game. Here’s the news: meditation saves you time. Among (many) other things, it dramatically increases your productivity and improves your sleep so much that you need less of it.

I spent years studying ancient practices and teaching thousands of high performers. And it led me to develop the Ziva Technique, a unique synthesis of the best meditation and mindfulness techniques plus the tools to manifest your goals and desires.

Almost every week there’s a new scientific study released singing the praises of meditation. It offers a huge list of benefits. Some of them are physical and immediate; others are more subtle. Many of my students experience deeper, more refreshing sleep while also noticing that they have more energy during the day. Many others notice that they feel more connected and present, which leads to better relationships — and even better sex! People also frequently report feeling less anxious and more capable of responding to demanding situations in a calm, level-headed manner.

I had a student who likened it to never realizing you needed glasses. Once you put them on, life comes into sharp focus.

And if there’s anyone who can vouch for the benefits of meditation, it’s me. Ten years ago I was on Broadway understudying three of the leads in A Chorus Line. On paper I was living my dream, but in reality I was suffering from anxiety, had been struggling with insomnia for eighteen months, and was going grey at the tender age of 26. I was desperate for a solution, so when a fellow cast member told me she swore by meditation I thought, what do I have to lose?

After the first day of the course, I slept through the night for the first time in 18 months. Then I stopped getting sick, I stopped going gray, I started enjoying my life and realized that this practice was something special. It has since up-leveled my performance and my life so dramatically that I felt inspired to share it with others. I left Broadway in 2009 and went to India, where I began a three-year training process to become a meditation teacher. Since then, I have taught over 5,000 people to become self-sufficient meditators with the Ziva Technique.

How It Works In Person

If you’re wondering how it works, here’s the gist. We offer an in-person course NYC and LA (check our calendar for dates and locations). The course runs two hours a day for four consecutive days. After taking the course, you’ll have everything you need to be a meditator for life with a practice that you enjoy and can do anywhere, anytime. No need for apps, earbuds or drop-ins. The Ziva Technique is designed to be integrated into your schedule no matter how busy you are. (In fact, zivaGRAD and fashion expert for What Not to Wear and The View Stacy London said, “The busier you are, the better The Ziva Technique is for you.”)

Once you graduate and become a zivaFAMILY member, Ziva provides a home for you throughout your meditation journey, including free personalized support in person and online, plus advanced courses to deepen your knowledge and access to our active online Ziva community. Plus, you can come back and sit in on the course any time you want for no charge.

How It Works Online

Our online meditation course (the first of its kind) is called zivaMIND. It’s an 8-day training that you can do on your phone, tablet or computer from anywhere in the world.

Like the in-person course, in zivaMIND you’ll also learn a self-sufficient meditation practice that you can do anywhere, anytime, but it is a bit gentler than what we teach in person and is safe enough to move through on your own without face-to-face guidance. You get the support of our incredible online community of zivaMINDers all over the globe plus 4 free guided visualizations that you can use for travel, insomnia, performance anxiety and stress release.
