Ziva Meditation seeks an Operations and Community Coordinator

Ziva is a school for high performance. We help people uplevel their performance and their lives through meditation. We have over 7,000 graduates around the world from our in-person and online training in the Ziva Technique, which is a powerful trifecta of Meditation, Mindfulness and Manifesting.

About You

You are passionate and proficient in both written and spoken communications and see it as an integral part of company growth, client retention, and community development. You are a self-starter that thinks outside of the box, excels at creative problem solving, and is comfortable taking on projects that you have never done before! You are excited about managing and improving all aspects of the Ziva experience for our team, clients, and community. Spreadsheets are your music, and check lists bring you joy. You have an operations mind coupled with the compassion it takes to help people as they develop a daily meditation practice. You are self-aware, low ego, and extremely positive. You are comfortable working in a small collaborative team where you’ll wear many hats. No job is too big or too small.

The Role

A typical day might mean working from our brand new Soho studio or occasionally from the comfort of home. You might brainstorm a more efficient way to sell/ship Ziva merchandise, answer a new meditator’s question about their practice, prepare beautiful print materials, or write inspiring copy for Ziva’s social media accounts. After a delish lunch at Springbone, Dean & Deluca or Le Pain Quotidien (all nearby), you might spend the afternoon collaborating with our work-study students on a project at the studio, assisting our Director of Operations with our database, preparing our founder for an important speaking engagement, and of course taking some time out to meditate with the staff. You’ll be working closely with the Director of Operations, the Director of Growth, and our Founder, Emily.

There are plenty of fun events to attend to do some livestream social media. Emily often speaks at Daybreaker, Festivals, Corporations, Lululemon events and other wellness companies.

Core Responsibilities

Customer Service support, all live and online programs, via email, social and in person
Operations support, including database (CRM) work
Studio management (stocking, errands, merchandise)
Rentals manager
Personal assistant to founder
Live event support
Manage workstudy program
Social Media coordinator

Must Haves

1 year of experience in Operations and/or Client Services
Super smart and organized. We like mild OCD
Creative problem solver with a determination to succeed
Independent and motivated, with the wisdom to seek help where needed
Highly articulate, ability to communicate effectively both when speaking and writing
Highly organized self-manager with the ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working remotely as well as in-person
Great at technology, early adopter of new tech and social platforms
Desire to learn and practice Ziva Meditation (you’ll receive a full scholarship to our in-person training)
Experience with Social Media platforms
Flexible schedule – comfortable shifting hours as needed for Ziva events

Nice to Haves

Experience at a startup
Experience with a CRM (InfusionSoft, SalesForce, etc) and automated email systems
Experience creating engaging and compelling communication design for print and digital.
A great eye for design. You don’t have to be a full blown graphic designer but we need you to understand what makes an image pop on social and the ability to create content that matches the Ziva aesthetic.
Bonus if you know Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).

Ziva is on a mission to help people stress less and accomplish more, by giving them a self-sufficient meditation practice to take with you for life. The Ziva Technique is a powerful trifecta of meditation, mindfulness and manifesting. Ziva was founded in 2011 and has taught over 7,000 students through our live and online trainings. Our business grew by 50% in 2016 and shows no signs of slowing down. Emily has a book coming out in 2019 so more fun opportunities are on the way.

The Nitty Gritty

This is a full-time job that will be a mix of working from Ziva’s studio and some remote work. Because we teach when most people are not working the hours are variable. Our meetings happen during ‘normal’ business hours but there are occasional night and weekend events. Starting salary will be approximately $40k (pending experience), plus a commission for studio rentals. Full reimbursal for benefits: health, dental, vision. Full scholarship to the Ziva Meditation course. Reimbursal for education you are interested in (courses, books) to help you grow.
