Social Media Manager/Staff Writer/Operations Assistant (P/T)

About the Role

We’re looking for an intelligent human who likes wearing different hats! The role will include Social Media (content management, strategy, research, reporting, engagement), Staff Writing (producing writing on behalf of Ziva for internal and external copy) and Operations/ Studio Assistance (studio oversight, event assistance and general administrative duties).

Working with a leading expert in meditation, you will need to have a passion for optimal health, and a willingness to take the Ziva course and practice daily meditation. Much of your job will be to support people as they move through their meditation journey, so it is important that you can speak from firsthand experience. This role will grow as the company grows.

This role requires high levels of organization, self-management and accountability. Your days will be varied and include working independently 50% of the time and at the Ziva studio 50% of the time. Hours are flexible so feel free to take that mid day yoga class, but it will include some night and weekend work as you would join our Sunday night group meditations each week.

We estimate this role will be between 20-30 hours/week.

Your Responsibilities:

Social Media:
Communicate Ziva’s mission, branding, and offerings through all social media networks. Engage with customers and community in real-time on social platforms to provide superior customer service. Oversee the design of graphics to create beautiful and inspirational material. Build relationships with social network influencers to create opportunities and generate interest in meditation. Develop Ziva’s social strategy alongside the team to expand audience and engagement. Research and report on new social media tools and trends. Create and maintain monthly social media metrics reflecting quantifiable goals.

Staff Writer:
Write blogs and submits them to publications – 2/month. Write articles for the zivaVAULT – 1 to 2 posts/week. Other writing assignments as needed.

Admin/Studio Assistant:
*Event assistance: from our twice monthly Intro Talks to our courses, from video shoots to our big events (mass meditations on the Highline and Bryant Park are some of them), you’ll make sure our students are well taken care of and our events happen elegantly.
*Customer Service. Give Ziva customers an incredible experience with warm, caring, attentive customer service support via phone, email and social media platforms
*Ensure studio space is kept in immaculate condition and is always stocked with supplies.
*Manage the Founder’s calendar.
*Handle merchandise ordering and shipping.

Make it Up as You Go:
We’re doing a lot of new projects- in addition to our live and online courses, we’ve recently partnered with some big players in the wellness and education spaces. You may be doing everything from booking a photographer to internet research to helping someone restart their meditation practice. If this sounds exciting to you -we would love to meet.

You have:
*Excellent organizational abilities. Great memory and incredible attention to detail.
*Strong follow through, and are known for getting things done.
*Outstanding logic, judgement, communication and people skills
*Ability to work well within a team, and excel independently
*Strong computer abilities. Ideally you have used a CRM, have some familiarity HTML & WordPress, have worked with Google Docs.
*College degree
*Proven experience in administration, social media and writing. 1-3+ years is optimal.
*Intricate knowledge and experience using all social media platforms.
*Excellent computer skills – experience with a CRM system, a task management system, Google Docs, Microsoft Office Suite, WordPress, *Photoshop or similar, and light graphic design.
*A passion for optimal performance, learning the latest wellness trends, and a genuine love of helping people.
*Homebase within 40 minutes of Manhattan
